The Nigerian Podcast Index
A public, independent directory of Nigerian podcasts.
The Nigerian Podcast Index documents, preserves, and makes discoverable podcasts produced in Nigeria and by Nigerians around the world. It is not a ranking, review site, or chart. It is a living record of the country’s digital audio ecosystem.
As of February 2026, the Index has catalogued 329 podcast titles, with 73% publishing regularly. The data confirms what many of us have sensed: Nigerian podcasting has moved beyond experimentation into sustained production.
Why This Matters
Discoverability
Great Nigerian podcasts exist across every genre, but many remain hidden behind platform algorithms. The Index makes them searchable and accessible in one place.
Ecosystem Growth
Brands, researchers, institutions, and media professionals need reliable data. The Index provides structured information on genre, language, hosting platforms, and publishing status.
Permanent Documentation
Digital work disappears quickly. The Index ensures Nigerian podcasts are recorded for history, reference, and future scholarship.
